Agimed: A Playful Display Font for Creative Branding Projects

I was working on a branding project for a new local café, and I needed a font that would reflect the brand's personality—friendly, approachable, and a bit whimsical. That’s when I came across Agimed, a display font with a cool rounded shape that immediately caught my eye.

Agimed has a soft, playful feel to it. The rounded edges give it a friendly and approachable vibe, while the clean lines add a touch of modernity. It’s not too childish, nor is it overly serious, making it perfect for a variety of creative applications. I could see it working well on everything from logos to social media posts.

Testing Agimed in the Early Stages of Design

I started by placing Agimed on a mockup of the café’s logo. The first version had a more traditional sans serif font, but it didn’t quite capture the warm and inviting atmosphere we were going for. When I swapped it out for Agimed, the difference was immediate. The rounded letters felt like a smile, and the overall look became much more welcoming.

Next, I tested it on packaging mockups. I placed it on a coffee bag label and a menu header. The font read well at a larger size, which is essential for printed materials. It wasn’t overwhelming, and the legibility stayed intact even when used as a headline.

Using Agimed in Brand Identity Elements

Agimed worked beautifully as a primary font for the café’s brand identity. I used it for the logo, signage, and digital assets like Instagram posts and website headers. Its playful nature aligned perfectly with the café’s goal of creating a relaxed, fun environment for customers.

On the website, Agimed was used for the hero section heading. It stood out without being too bold, and it helped guide the viewer’s attention effectively. I paired it with a clean sans serif font for body text, which created a nice balance between playfulness and readability.

For print materials like flyers and posters, Agimed added a sense of charm. It looked great on a shop sign and even on a business card. The rounded shapes gave the design a friendly, handcrafted feel that resonated with the target audience.

Agimed in Different Applications

Agimed isn’t limited to just one use case. I found it incredibly versatile. Here are a few other applications where it shone:

One thing I noticed early on was how well Agimed played with other fonts. Pairing it with a serif font for body copy or using it alongside a script font for accents added depth and dimension to the design. This flexibility made it a valuable asset in the brand system.

Practical Tips for Using Agimed

If you’re considering using Agimed in your next project, here are a few tips to keep in mind:

  1. Test It First: Always test Agimed in different sizes and contexts before committing to it. See how it looks on screens and in print.
  2. Check for Readability: While Agimed is great for display purposes, ensure it doesn’t compromise readability when used in longer texts.
  3. Pair Wisely: Think about what complementary fonts will work best with Agimed. A clean sans serif or a classic serif can offer a nice contrast.
  4. Consider Licensing: Make sure you have the right commercial license if you plan to use Agimed in client projects or for resale.

Agimed is a display font, so it works best in short-form text. It’s not intended for long paragraphs, but it excels in headlines, logos, and any design element where visual impact is key.

In the end, Agimed became a cornerstone of the café’s brand identity. It brought the right amount of character and charm to the design, helping to create a memorable and engaging brand experience for the audience. Whether you're designing for a small boutique, a skincare brand, or a creative studio, Agimed offers a unique blend of style and functionality that can elevate your work.
